Self-Accompaniment for Singers Live Online Pilot Workshops

Are you a singer who has dreamed of accompanying yourself at the piano while you sing? These special online learning opportunities are for you! Great for all ages 8-to-adult.

In this time of social distancing, I am piloting two differently formatted opportunities to do this workshop with me, live online via Zoom videoconferencing. The regular price for these workshops in the future is likely to be at least twice as much, but for these pilot opportunities you’ll pay just $49.00 to participate! To register and prepare for your workshop:

  1. To register, review the two schedules/formats below. Under each option, you’ll see how to either pay by Venmo or, if you don’t have access to Venmo, you can follow the PayPal link/button:
    • Saturdays April 11-May 2 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time – $49.00 US
      4 sessions, 45-60 minutes each

  2. Complete the Student Enrollment Form and email a photo of the completed form.
  3. Purchase the Ensemble Accompaniment Workshop digital materials at the Simply Music Student Intranet Store.
    • Materials cost is $10.00.
    • Upon creating your Simply Music Student Intranet account and purchasing your materials, link your account to me as your teacher — visit this page and follow the instructions, entering my teacher ID which is 80.
    • If you do not have a piano or electronic keyboard, visit the Curriculum page, find and open the “Practice Pad” link, and follow the instructions to craft your own paper Practice Pad.
    • Whether you will be using an instrument or a Practice Pad, either way you will visit the Curriculum page to access your Ensemble Accompaniment Workshop materials. You may print out the Reference Book or use it exclusively on your computer/tablet/smartphone. Note that you will want to be able to write notes about one particular page — the “Triads” page. You can print the page, use a blank piece of paper, or electronically annotate the PDF on your device using an appropriate application.
