First Video on Neil Moore’s YouTube Channel is My Student!

Potluck Creative Arts Lesson LineSimply Music

When Neil Moore, Simply Music’s founder, saw the videos I’d made of a number of my early students after they completed the first level of the Simply Music Foundation program, he called to tell me how impressed he was. I was asked to provide the original video recordings so that Simply Music could consider including some of the footage as part of their own official YouTube presence.

Just tonight, I got a Google Alert letting me know about a YouTube video that mentioned me. It turned out to be from that footage that Simply Music had asked for. The video is of Ethan, who had been a piano student of mine for a time back when I taught traditional lessons and then returned when I started teaching Simply Music lessons. He’s been thriving ever since and is just now starting Foundation 4. Not only was his Foundation 1 performance put on Neil Moore’s YouTube channel — it is the very first video posted there!

I feel great as a teacher having helped produce results that Neil was so impressed with, and I feel really proud of Ethan for doing such good work that Neil would premier his YouTube channel with Ethan’s performances. Enjoy!

I hope other students of mine will let me know about any videos online of them performing anything from their lessons with me, so that I can share those videos here as well!

A few weeks after it was posted on Neil’s YouTube channel, the video was taken down — and moved to the official Simply Music channel, along with a video from another student of mine! See this newer post to see those and some other videos of my students:

Congratulations to you and your student!
The piano playing in the video is very well played and like how it turned out.

By the way, I’ve subscribed to your mailing list and am learning a lot from your piano practice tips. Keep up the good work with the emails. They are a really motivating and are a good read.
